Stress Eye Bags Buster

  • Jan. 26th, 2009 at 8:42 PM
Everyone should be beware of the stress bags. Aside from genes, under eye bags are also caused by lack of sleep or stress. The simple stress of work, staring in front of the computer for hours, or trying to focus on a day long meeting can cause so much stress for the eyes.

Recently, which is on a meeting ironically, I heard about different ways of relaxing the eyes. One way is through focus. Look for a very tiny object on the wall, and focus on it for as long as you can. It has to be small, and far away. They say, this allows your eyes to get back the focus it has lost. This is an especially great exercise for boring meetings if you ask me.

Another way of relaxing the eyes to combat those eye bags is to look at something green The color green is the first color the eyes see. This explains the green road signs. But aside from this, green is also a color that soothes the eyes.

If you ever catch yourself feeling stressed, and your eyes feeling the same, a cooling pack at work would be nice. However, if you don't have the time, just sit and enjoy those eye relaxing views.

Description: Avon ANEW CLINICAL Eye Lift is the second Avon anti aging product featured and reviewed in this site. This is most likely a better choice over Avon’s Hydrofirming Bio-6 Eye Cream in the sense of effectivity. It was CEW Insider's Choice Beauty Winner, and often one of the best selling eye creams in the market. It is described by their official website as:

Brow Bone/Upper Eye Gelwith Dimensional Lift Technology™ is formulated to:• firm brow bone area to help provide an instant lift***• instantly help the brow bone area feel tighter***• after 4 weeks, improve visible sagging of brow bone area†• instantly tighten and firm upper eye area***• after 4 weeks, improve visible drooping of upper eye area†

Under Eye Creamwith Derma-Refine Technology™:• NOW… boosted with Sweet Almond Extract, known for its potent lifting power• instantly minimizes visible under eye shadowing***• after 4 weeks, visibly reduces dark circles & crepiness

The initial application tends to be irritating, what with the thick upper eye gel which takes a while to dry up and get absorbed. Once it dries, tightening is immediately felt.

It has numerous reviews that recommend it to other women as well. If it were made with sunscreen, this eye cream could have been much better.

Directions for Use: Twice Daily, apply Upper Eye Gel to eyelid and brow bone area with upward strokes. Apply Under Eye Cream to under eye area, including upper cheekbone and crow's feet.

Ingredients: WATER/EAU, SODIUM C14-16 OLEFIN SULFONATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, COCAMIDE MEA, PARFUM/FRAGRANCE, PEG-6, BENZOIC ACID, ISODIUM EDTA,, PHENOXYETHANOL, METHYLDIBROMO GLUTARONITRILE, BENZOPHENONE-9, BENZOPHENONE-3

Sunscreen: None

Recommendation: I haven’t tried this for myself, but the awards and other people’s opinion about it makes it very attractive. While it isn’t a hundred percent, not really the best eye cream out there, it could have potential.

Receiving an eye cream as a present sends out all the different sorts of signal. On one side, you're kind of glad to get something like that, allows you to test an eye cream without even shelling out a single penny. However, at the back of your mind, you also think, "Does she really think I have THAT much wrinkles?!"

I try to look at it at the former perspective, because, well, it doesn't help when you worry all the time. And besides, it only add to the wrinkles. I just try to remember, a good friend stabs you in the front. It may be sending out the kind of signals you do not like, but at least someone is there to tell you about it.

And before I forget, Kudoz to Julia, eye cream blog colleague, for the eye cream find. She made a very nice review of Avon ANEW CLINICAL Eye Lift. You can read it at her blog. I'm still on the hunt, and I look forward to posting a review on an eye cream that works as well as I would want them to.

Do Eye Creams Really Work?

  • Oct. 8th, 2008 at 5:30 PM
There are many sad facts of life, and wrinkles would be one of them. What’s worse is that these lines are the evidences of aging, and not necessary the pretty kind. It is for this reason that the market for wrinkle eye creams is steadily increasing, and to catch up with the demand, the anti aging industry is continuously creating products that promise to erase those dreaded wrinkles.

With all the anti wrinkle eye creams flooding the retail shops, will it be possible to find THE ONE that really works? The best eye cream? Are all the promises at the back of the jar true, and will any of the eye creams work? There could be hundreds of similar questions in your head, all of which, formulated to answer to very tiny skin imperfections.

Once an eye cream is picked off a shelf and tried after months of use, these women return to their mirrors and ask that inevitable question, “Do eye creams really work?” The answer to this question may not be as easy as a yes or no. The skin is a complicated piece of art. Your skin is simply not universal, and there are too many factors that make it act and react like it does. If one eye cream does not work, it should not be a complete discouragement. There are some out there that have the potential solution.

Best Eye Cream Alternative

  • Sep. 16th, 2008 at 9:24 PM
When your eye cream is unavailable, and you're stuck at home, would you settle for going straight to bed without reinforcing your daily morning and evening habit? You shouldn't. You have so many options when it comes to the best eye cream alternatives.

I haven't tried each and everyone of these recipes, but I'll be glad to show you the possible ingredients you could try out.

As of this moment, I could mention two, bananas and eggs. You probably heard of them as mash, or just pure moisturizers, but they actually have good effects on wrinkles.

Bananas contain huge quantities of magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, iodine, and vitamins A, B (folic acid), E, and F. Because of these, they have excellent effects on the skin. All you have to do is Mash the bananas until they are very creamy, put it on your face for 15-20 minutes, and rinse, first with warm, followed by cold water.

The eggs are more complicated for treating wrinkles. It requires certain ingredients which may not be automatically available, but majority of the ingredients are ready available even in the kitchen. Just mix in cucumber juice, egg white, lemon juice, rum or brandy, and sodium benzonate. I won't specify on the precise amounts, but you can ask me for it, or even search for it in other websites. Just beat all the ingredients together, and apply it on your skin, leave it until it settles, then rinse.

It's surprising what simple things can aid you with your wrinkle creams.

The Reunion of Wrinkles, or Not!

  • Sep. 5th, 2008 at 8:21 PM

I’m glad I went to the reunion. It was a real pleasure seeing all my old friends again. And of course, a reunion won’t be complete without comparing how you were before, and how you are now, and I’m glad to say I’m in really good shape.

The changes in others were very unexpected. I saw some old classmates who bloomed, I saw others who became even more beautiful, aging gracefully so to speak. By the way, I saw Sam, if you can recall from my previous post. She was the first one to greet me when I walked into the room, and you wouldn’t believe the difference a week has made to her skin! She tried that wrinkle product I suggested, and apparently, it worked for her pretty well. I must admit, the wrinkles are still there, quite visible, but come on people, it was just a week.

What was marvelous was the effect it had against her eye bags and dark circles. They totally lessened, and to tell you honestly, it was like in a week, she became five years younger. That was when I realized, once again, how much older you would look with just some minor skin problems around the eyes. I promise to take as much care of it as I can, to see what difference there is on our next reunion!

Reunion Plans

  • Aug. 28th, 2008 at 9:10 PM
Last week, there was a pre-reunion meeting with some of my former high school batch mates. The organizer, a woman named Sam, was the crowned home coming queen, the usual high school cheerleader sweetheart. You know, the woman we love to hate.

When a friend pointed at someone coming in, I was expecting to find a goddess to come to our midst. Well, apparently, I was wrong. When I saw her, it was evident the years took a great toll on her skin. Her face was blotchy, her eyes had very dark rings around it, and eye wrinkles were very visible even underneath all that make-up. It was really disappointing, and I felt kinda sad for her.

When our meet ended, I was so surprised when she came up to me and told me I looked great. She was asking me about the products I had been using, and was thinking of using them. I mentioned the best eye cream, wrinkle creams, and eye gels I have been using, and she swears to start using it. Reunion isn’t until a month from now, I wonder if they actually work.

DDF Protective eye Cream SPF15 Reviews

DDF Protective eye Cream SPF15

One of the products I’ve tried using before is DDF Protective Eye Cream, and I thought it best to review this eye cream first. Let me tell you about my skin. I typically have normal skin, lucky not to have really dry skin, so looking for creams is not that difficult for me. In connection to this, I read an eye cream review that specified DDF’s ineffectiveness for dry skin, which explains why this product actually worked for me.

Since my main problem is dark circles around the eyes, this eye cream was perfect for me. After about a month of using this product, there was a visible change in the dark circles around my eyes. Since I’m always on the go, having work and all, I need a cream that easily dries, at least enough for me to put on my make-up before I get to work. It was excellent with my make-up, not leaving blotches on the areas where I applied it.

Here is another review I found:

Beauty Tips- Eye Care

  • Jul. 22nd, 2008 at 9:16 PM

The internet is full of information, some of which are very helpful, but a lot can also ruin whatever it is you’re working for. Imagine, if you were looking for information for your skin, what kind of tragedies may happen with trust misplaced. My philosophy has always been, if she/he hasn’t tried it, why risk it? More so, if I haven’t tried it, why recommend it to others?

Here, I’m going to post certain eye care treatments and regimens I’ve tried, tell you if it works, and scream no if it doesn’t. No, I am not acting as your lab rat, but I am desperate for a really good eye cream or eye care practice that will actually help, and of course, I’m hoping others may help too.

More to come, and I hope to hear from you too!
